The WIT Bootcamp returns for the third year with a strong focus on innovation, start-ups and new technology.
The WIT Bootcamp, held Oct 15, the day before the main WIT Conference, is the meet-and-match place for travel tech professionals, entrepreneurs, innovators and investors.
It is also the place for travel industry professionals to come and learn about what’s hot and new in the digital travel space in Asia Pacific.
The day will feature experts from across the region including Indonesia, China, Japan and India who will share the latest online travel trends emerging in their respective markets, with a focus on new start-ups.
For the first time, it will also feature two concurrent workshops – “Travel For Starters” and “Customer Acquisition and Monetisation” – run by our expert speakers.
And, as always, it will close with the WIT Start-Up Pitch in which selected travel start-ups, selected by the organizers, will pitch their business in 5 minutes each to a panel of mentors and investors. Finalists will go on to pitch live at the Grand Finals on Oct 17 at the WIT Conference, and a winner will walk away with a US$1,000 prize, sponsored by VaultPad.
This year’s panel is chaired by Fritz Demopoulous, CEO, Queen’s Road Capital, and Kei Shibata, CEO, Venture Republic Japan. Other judges confirmed are Brett Henry, Vice President Marketing, Abacus International; Stephan Ekbergh, CEO, Travelstart, South Africa; Martin Symes, Chairman, Wego; Timothy O’Neil-Dunne, VaultPad; and Hugh Mason, CEO, JFDI.asia.
The WIT Bootcamp is held as part of the WIT Conference, October 16-17. A ticket to the WIT Conference includes access to the WIT Bootcamp.
Admission to the WIT Bootcamp only: S$400 per person
