Yoshihisa Yamada is a Senior Executive Officer and Director of Rakuten. He is also President and Representative Director of bitWallet, Inc, and responsible for the eMoney and Travel Business Units.
Yamada, who joined Rakuten in 2000, is also Vice Chairman and Representative Director of Rakuten Travel, Inc. and a Director of Kobo Inc.
Prior to Rakuten, he worked at the Industrial Bank of Japan, Ltd. (currently Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd.) from 1987 to 1999. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
