Jens Uwe Parkitny is Managing Director Affiliate Network of Expedia Asia Pacific. In this role, which he commenced on October 20, 2008, he is responsible for developing and managing Expedia's B2B unit in APAC including all white-label and co-branded affiliate partnerships in Asia Pacific.

Jens started working for Expedia, Germany in 1997 as senior producer travel and since then has filled several leading positions within the growing organisation in Germany and Europe. From January 2006 until March 2008 he held the position as Vice President and Managing Director of Expedia Germany and Austria.

Jens has been a member of the Board of Directors of elong (China) since May 2009.

Prior to joining Expedia, he was a travel trade journalist for many years and was Deputy Editor at Jaeger-Verlag, which published Touristik Aktuell, as well as correspondent and marketing consultant for TravelAsia.

He studied at Technical University of Rhineland-Palatinate and obtained a first class honors degree in business administration, travel and transport management. Mr Parkitny, who is married, is also a published photographer. His book “Bloodfaces” is published by Flame of The Forest, Singapore.
